‘Vanilla Lily’ PDF Embroidery Pattern

For national embroidery month (February in the US) I decided to add some Australian flair and challenged myself to embroider 28 Australian natives in 28 days. This gorgeous delicate flower was one of my favourites to stitch. Apparently it was named vanilla lily for its faint vanilla perfume. This piece uses a blending technique to combine the thread colours, creating additional texture and depth to the stitches. This makes the vanilla lily really come alive.
