‘Cooktown Orchid’ PDF Embroidery Pattern

For national embroidery month (February in the US) I decided to add some Australian flair and challenged myself to embroider 28 Australian natives in 28 days. The Cooktown Orchid is the state flower of Queensland (my home state)!! Hello 4 different shades of purple… I love it. You get to practice a simplified form of thread painting in this piece with lots of long and short stitch and shading with different colours to add depth!
