On the weekend Jake and I finally made it to the new Eat Street Northshore which is literally just down the road from the old venue. We only recently got onto the bandwagon of exploring Eat Street last year and the last time we were there was for New Years Eve with a group of friends. So when they opened the new location, Jake was super keen to go and check it out.
It took me a while to get on board because after work (eg, Friday or Saturdays) all I want to do is just go home and chill… not negotiate hundreds of people and struggle to decide what I want to eat. Soooo we decided Sunday lunch time would be the best time to give it a go. And I was really impressed!!!
The new layout keeps everything very organised and easy to navigate. The old Eat Street had lots of alleyways and little nooks which create a great atmosphere but they’ve managed to create more atmosphere but still be organised.
One of the big things I noticed was how there were plenty of areas for seating! They have used the space well and created little eating areas everywhere. There are also some private function areas available for hire as well.
On the menu for lunch was:
- Location: 221D Macarthur Avenue, Hamilton, QLD 4007
- Opening Hours: Friday and Saturday 4pm-10pm, Sundays 11am-7pm
- Cost: $2.50 entry fee per person, kids under 12 are free
- Parking: Free on site
I’m actually really looking forward to going back again, maybe at night to see all the lights, and continue to explore some of the different stalls. See you next time Eat Street!
